In recent weeks we have heard Rumours and Leaked Confirmations over the Rumble Sixaxis Controller but all that has been blown away with Dave Karraker telling GamePro that they have not added rumble to the Playstation 3, and have no announcements regarding this feature.

Man, Sony must really love teasing us: just a couple days after we got word that rumble-enabled SIXAXIS controllers were leaking out to developers, Sony's director of corporate communications Dave Karraker told GamePro that the company has "not added rumble [to PS3], and have no announcements regarding this feature." That's a non-denial denial, if you ask us -- way to be sly, Sony. Karraker also confirmed that updated SIXAXIS controllers with refined motion-sensing features were shipping out, but characterized that as "part of the normal development and evolution of controllers." Here's hoping the SIXAXIS evolves itself a rumble unit sooner rather than later.

Hmm so looks like it was just rumours that got out of hand then? Shame I was actually holding off buying a new ps3 pad because I heard about the rumble feature.

    Who are they kidding?

Hell, adding rumble would give the bots and press one less thing to rant about, and it isn't like Sony have pulled of something of this exact nature before. They launched PS1 with simple, light controllers, then upgraded to the DualShock model on which the aesthetics of the SIXAXIS are based.

This could just be a move to try and stop the press and rumours circulating yes, and to be honest I hope they are. Maybe this is just something so they can amplify the release of it when they do say something... They should know that all consumers of the product want rumble so I am shocked if they don't bring it.

I honestly don't like this SIXAXIS bit. Played New Goblin on Spider-Man 3, and my wrists hurt like hell trying to steer him. Then there's the sudden 'lose control' bit where I can't control anything going on for 30 seconds, the last button I hit is spammed.

I don't really care for having my hands "shake" when something happens. Sometimes it bugs the bones in my hands.

I rather have a cool feature then my hands shake. People are just used to it I guess.

Damn, that picture looks so gay, I can't stand looking at it.

The rumble pack doesn't really appeal to me that much, and I could care less for something the PS3 has, if I never plan on buying one.

How do you "kinda" deny something? Didn't the article say Sony will have a PS3 controller with rumble eventually? I mean we have to choice BUT to wait.

You know this is another attempt of hypocrisy. David isn't the head and owner of SCE so why are we taking his words on it. B4 SCEA said were not going to phased out 60GB model yet Others negated that point. I say he knows nothing.

He may you never know. But to be honest I think in the end the rumble will be coming on the basis that the consumer will want it, even if it doesn't have motion attached.

I agree. Customers are going to demand it in the future and Sony is going to have to respond to that demand to keep their all-important customers happy.

Doesn't seem like Sony wants to be bothered about rumble right now, considering all the other things going on, like DVR being a new peripheral.

I want Rumble, particularly if its like the "SHOCKAXIS" I heard described...

I'm pretty sure they will, eventually...and how many times now, has Sony lied about something, only to go back on it?
