7 Games Saved By GTA IV Delay

The delay that has made many fans upset and angry, has also been a saviour for some game developers that no longer have GTAIV to compete with for christmas. Which will obviously mean that they will have more reason to release it before then, and will most likely be getting more notice from you than if GTAIV had released.

The games ofcourse are:

    1. Bioshock
    2. Army of Two
    3. Lair
    4. Haze
    5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
    6. Assassin's Creed
    7. Heavenly Sword

    Where's the assassin's creed pic?

    I guess they could be called "saved"... It would of caused AO2, HS, Haze, and bioshock to lose some sales at first. But I think Lair would be alright since it's coming out sooner.

      There is a maximum of 6 that you can upload to a news article. This is why Krunal has missed out Assassins Creed as you seem to have mentioned.

      Don't forget that some people would save their money and not buy these games, just because they are trying to save up for GTAIV.

        I guess, would also give the chance for people to save up in time as well. That's always good then.

        Wow I never knew there was this many positives for this delay. Also when this dose come out Halo 3 so called reign that is has may be dieing.

    Call of Duty 4 probably could have used this delay the most. The other games like Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, and Heavenly Sword had a lot more hype, so I doubt they would have been as heavily affected by a sales loss to GTA.

    This is exactly what I thought when I heard GTA IV had been delayed. So many other games will be allowed to bask in the spotlight, without having it stolen from them by the uundeserving (GTA).

      What makes GTA Undeserving? Personally for me, it looks to be a great game, part of a marvellous game series.

    Game will get more noticed on the Playstation 3 which is good to hear that dont evolve around Grand Theft Auto. well pointed out as I never really though of this myself.

    This was the only thing i was looking forward to when i heard about the delay.

    I get to buy these games instead of getting GTA.

    That's true. GTA is crazy overrated, people miss out on good games because of that series.

    The games will get a bigger share of the limelight, which is good, but the fact remains that people that were planning to buy GTA aren't going to suddenly turn around and decide to buy those games instead.

      That's not necessarily true. If they were planning to buy GTA4 before, they are likely to buy a new game to pass the time by till GTA4 comes out.

    They might not, but if they know they still have the funds to get it at a later date there might be some that want a short answer to play before that comes out.

    GTA4 isn't going to be the end all be all of video games, just the end all be all of it's genre. Honestly now.

    A lot of those games should be glad that GTAIV got delayed or they'd be overlooked and probably screwed over more where they should be successful.

    4,6 and 7 are games that i really look forwards too, especially Heavenly Sword.

    Several of those, like Lair and Heavenly Sword, as well as Assasin's creed, would hardly be lacking in sales when they come out, GTA IV or no GTA IV...granted, they'll probably get a few more copies sold, but they're hardly 'saved' 0_o

    bioshock shouldn't have any trouble, or assassin's creed.

    Although I feel that half of these games will be better than GTA4 and they deserve the sales.


    Exclusives > multiplatformers.
