Free is always good because well, it's free! Game Podunk Editor, Jason Clement reports that Nintendo will be offering the 3D version of Excitebike for free! Read on for more details.

Excitebike 3D will be the first of the "3D Classics" line (which will debut classic games that are given the 3D treatment) when it launches. However, it'll only be available for free for a limited time from the eShop's launch date. Also, no specific region was given for the promotion, so it could be restricted to Japan but it's likely we'll see the promotion in North America as well (and perhaps Europe and Australia).

    Holy crap that's awesome.

Considering there's a 90% chance that whatever PAL regions get will emulate the 50hz version, I'm so glad now that I imported a 3DS from the States.
