Xbox Live matchmaking down

PlayStation Network has been entirely down for some time now, but it seems that there is some notifications from Microsoft as well as a status check on their official site that indicate issues with their matchmaking.

    matchmaking... isnt that the part were you actually "play" games with other people? So, essentially, they cannot play games online either or what? This hacking biz is getting annoying...
