After slamming PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword, Team Ninja boss Itakagi Tomonubu would be wise to rein in his criticisms following this piece of shallow marketing for Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. What a boob. Well, actually, there are around 8 of them actually. Shameless. Seriously, criticising Heavenly Sword when you're responsible for Dead or Alive Extreme 2 - what's the world coming to?
Admittedly, the relevance of this clip is negligible considering that Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 hit shelves at the close of 2006. However, GamerSquad thought it somewhat poignant considering the recent slamming of Heavenly Sword by Dead or Alive creator Itagaki Tomonobu, who recently labelled the eagerly anticipated PS3 exclusive as being "half-assed."
Point being? Well, with predominantly poor critical reviews for Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 (GameSpot 59%, IGN 64%), perhaps the Team Ninja boss should curb his scathing criticisms while reflecting on this overtly desperate piece of flagrantly half assed and sexist marketing for a game built on tantalising the easily titillated pre-pubescent school boy demographic.
Clearly Tomonubu has never heard it's not the breast idea to throw semi-naked stones in glass houses.

Yeah, I actually rented this game, because a friend of mine really liked the original...bah, I played it for an hour or two, and didn't touch it after that...Pretty graphics, but the best thing about it, is the trailers (particularly the Japanese trailer on Marketplace)...
But yeah, pretty bad idea for the guy to poke fun at Heavenly sword, considering his cheap moneymaker involving smexy girls "Shaking their Moneymakers", or at least showing them off a lot >_>
Heavenly Sword just doesn't look as good as it's hyped to be. Does it look good, yes. Is it top tier? Hell no. That will reign with Ninja Gaiden(yes, I do believe Itagaki had something to do with this, might've been a minor part..), Devil May Cry, and God of War. Heavenly Sword's combat looks slow and uninspiring. The button-pressing cinematics are overly used in games and that's something that's quickly being used as a last-ditch effort to make up for crappy combat.
And before anyone else says it, DOAX2 is not half-assed. It's fully-assed. Just look at those pixels.
