Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 "Starter Pack", boasting additional value for money for PlayStation 3 shoppers, will no longer be sold in Australia as of August 31. A marketing email sent to members of the official PlayStation website yesterday provided details on the offer's end date, less than a month after its original introduction.

Sony has declined to reveal details over what will replace the offer, if anything.

The PlayStation 3 "starter pack" offer--which sees a 60GB PS3 bundled with two controllers and two games in PAL territories--will end in Australia on August 31, less than a month after it was first launched locally.

"less than a month after it was first launched locally."

That IS bad, how can you think it is not? 1 month is barely any time at all for the bundle to be out, and if they are getting rid of it already then surely they made the mistake of bothering to sell it in Australia in the 1st place?

Whether you like it or not bad move overall by Sony.

NO its not, cause they might make a price cut or maybe it was a limited move by them, just like the Price cut. We will have to wait for more info. I say its not a bad move.

They may do that but then they might not. This offer might be better then the previous one.

And 1 month is no time at all. I guess it isnt selling very well.

I haven't even seen the bundle at any of my local gaming stores?

But then again I never looked very hard as I always planned to get mine off Ebay or out of the papers
