Worthy attempt to bolster the exposure of a good cause, or shameless attempt to bolster the exposure of upcoming gaming release Crash of the Titans?

Either way, a certain yellow bandicoot will be appearing as the official figurehead of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society School & Youth program.

Vivendi and Sierra have partnered with the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society School & Youth program, providing the mug of Crash Bandicoot as its mascot. The scheme teaches children across America about community service and raises both awareness and money for leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Mark Halacy, executive vice president of Human Resources for Vivendi Games expelled his happiness about the agreement that will see Crash appear on all School & Youth promotional material and apparel, commenting: "Crash is a bandicoot with a big heart; he's brave, he's loyal and he's always ready for a good fight and a great cause."

It's for school and youth programs, why don't you guys read. It's not being marketed towards adults and I think he's the perfect mascot for such a thing.

It generates support, awareness and money and is therefore a great idea. I hope it's a big success.

    Lol?

Unless apples prevent Leukemia, I doubt C.Band. is at all a godo mascot.

    What were these guys thinking?

Although I don't think this is an ideal way of getting people aware of leukaemia I do think it's a good idea. Now 5 months ago I shaved off all my hair and eyebrows for a dare, I looked like I had leukaemia. Now I'm a person that is strong and can take things but when 90% of people walking down the street take a second glance at you or stare for slightly longer because you look different it really is slightly upsetting, and I was getting rather annoyed.

So therefore I do believe awareness of leukaemia needs to be done, to stop people staring at them down the street, horrible.
