Japan: 100 Top Software Sales

Famitsu has just released the top 100 software sales in Japan for the first half of this year. This may or may not surprise you, but instead of a Nintendo game snatching the first place spot, the game, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd for the PSP takes it with 1,361,624 sales. Then after that, Nintendo owns the charts, Sony peeking in a few times.
Famitsu has revealed the top 100 total software sales for the region of Japan for the first half of the year 2007. In a bit of a suprise, a PSP title called Monster Hunter Portable 2nd tops the chart with 1,361,624 but from there on in comes the usual onslaught of Nintendo platform titles takes place.

    I personally dont like the games, but if people enjoy them, more power to them.

    I'm not extremely surprised that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd got first. I remember it was the first PSP game to hit platinum in Japan awhile ago, so it was a little expected.

    Monster Hunter 2 Portable is that much of a hit over there. I am shocked but then still, Japan love this sort of stuff I guess

    Wow I'm shocked that Zelda TP only sold 500,000 total in Japan. I would have thought it would sell much better than that.

    Monster Hunter is No.1 for the first half of this year but overall a number of the games below it still blow it out of the water in total sales. I don't see it selling as many overall.

    Then again, what do I know?
