Not "will be", "could be". I don't think any E3 will usurp the year the PS3 was unveiled (and it's boomerang controller) or the first time we got a story-based trailer for MGS4. Those were the glory days. Back then, there was huge anticipation for games like that. This year? I can't think of any HUGE trailer that's anticipated; any major unveiling; any ground-breaking news. Mostof the games tha are there have already been seen for a long time. Best ever? Ya. Ok.

Only things Im looking forward to are the 2 [delayed] titles by Team Ico getting release dates, Max Payne 3, and the hope of a sequel to the 2008 Prince of Persia. Oh, and what ever news HMX has for future RB DLC.

It is shaping up to be a good E3 for Sony and Nintendo. I do have hope for Microsoft revealing some hardcore titles for the Kinect, but they need more exclusives than just Gears of War 3. I just hope none of the companies focus 50% of their press conference on the hardware. I want to see the software available for the hardware!

Microsoft has MW3. That's pretty much all they need to garner attention from the masses. I'll bet you that it will be marketed for 360 more so than any other console, starting with a gameplay reveal at E3 (just like MW2 was).

MW3 is still multiplatform and everyone knows that. No intelligent person would give Microsoft credit for a multiplatform game that does not sell consoles, just sells a shit ton of copies to the same people over and over again.

Sony is going to have a tough E3 this year but at least they have the NGP to show off. Microsoft has nothing but E3 is all about reveals anyways and Nintendo is sitting at the top looking down at the competition with a scoff (much like last year).

Of course we don't know if this E3 will be the best, a lot of the magic that's at E3 are the big secret reveals, like when Nintendo unveiled Twilight Princess. I love big surprises like that.

a lot of people think MS will tease/officially announce the Xbox 3 this year. one school of thought is announce with a 2012 release, the other is tease with 2013 release. im in the second camp. i think the 360 still has a couple more years in it. also they are going to want to take a bit more time to keep an eye on Sony rather than being the first one out the gate again.

but we are thinking thats why MS has been so quiet lately, theyre gearing up for the huge press conference announcement.
