The secret to Nintendo 3DS' AR (augmented reality) cards may have been cracked wide open and it is something as simple as a small card with a hole in it.

When you fire up the 3DS and it begins to look for an AR card, it isn't actually looking for a specifically manufactured card filled with mounds of technological data. Nope. It's simply looking for a color. If you create a card with a box cutout in the middle of it you will be able to make the 3DS spawn gobs of cool things. The design must be the specific "question box" design, however.
