Well, it's official; the 80GB PS3 with bundle is now available in all stores. So if your going to download lots of content, then this system (with higher storage) is right for you! Plus, you get a high selling PS3 game with it.
Since the PS3 60GB price cut, the sales has increased 115% at the company's five major retailer sites, and Sony is expecting the system inventory to be phased out by fall.

"The 80GB PS3 offers expanded options in the PS3 family of products for those who want to enjoy more downloadable content," said Peter Dille, Sony's senior vice president of marketing, "The new model will provide ample storage space to meet the appetites of those who wish to download content today, and for many more years to come."

In the same release, Sony claims that unit sales of the recently reduced $499 PS3 have surged 115% at the company's top five retailers. Sony expects 60GB inventory to deplete sometime this fall.

Personally I think Sony should keep the 60GB version despite how well the 80GB version sells.

Just to give consumers a choice

Well why would you have several versions, it would be like xbox, There trying something different. the wii only has one version. It would be too confusing to have both versions.

I would like to see the 60gb version still avalible as well. I would agree on this. It gives people choice instead of saying that you have to pay more now.
