Take-Two CEO hints at Grand Theft Auto V in 2012

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed some financial figures during the publisher's latest financial briefing that make a 2012 release for Grand Theft Auto V a certainity.

He probably didn’t mean to, but Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick just confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will ship sometime between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013.

You can play games with journalists, but you don’t mess with the SEC. Consider GTA5 in 2012 as good as confirmed.

    Yes! I've been waiting for some info to get leaked about the release date. I'm guessing it's gonna come out around Christmas 2012.

    The last couple of R* games were released in the spring which is usually a dry season for gaming. Even more so with GTA, a R* game can up out any time of the year and still make a ridiculous amount of money.

    About time, it's been about 3 years since they released the last Grand Theft Auto, they confirmed it right on time.
