Videogaming's media crossover continues this week with news that South Park fans picking up series 10 on DVD will also be bestowed with a completely free 2-week trial to Blizzard's astoundingly popular World of Warcraft.

Comedy Central has revealed that those who purchase the tenth series of South Park on DVD will also receive a 14-day trial to the World of Warcraft.

The link between Blizzard's monster of a game and the crappily-brilliant animated show that centres on a group of troublesome pre-pubescent kids is the Emmy-nominated episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft," which aired last October. It features Cartman and the gang ridding the MMORPG of a hugely powerful Warcraft obsessive intent on ruining the game for newcomers.

Out of all the South Park episodes the "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode definitely was one of the ones that had me cracking up the most. Not quite sure why they are giving away a trial of Warcraft though, it's free to download of the net...

well, thats probably why they are giving it away then. It doesn't cost much to give away something that's already free
