Acclaimed director David O. Russell (The Fighter, Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster) is no longer attached to the Uncharted film adaptation. That'll probably make a lot of gamers happy, as his ideas for the film were controversial.

Hmmm not a big deal, if Walhberg is let go as well, then I would be kind of happy. I hope the movie actually follows the game storyline fairly close, which Russell sounded like he was not going to do.

hopefully this turns out for the better, I am tired of seeing movies based off of games being completely horrid.

What we need now is someone like Darren Aronofsky. He'll adapt the project well, but where he'll come into his own is in the final act with the supernatural. Anyone that has seen his film Requiem of a Dream knows just how well this guy can pull off the surreal.
