Everyone's favourite gaming fortune-telling analyst is at it again, folks. Yes, Michael 'I'm always wrong' Pachter has gazed into his dusty crystal ball in order to predict that another PS3 price cut will come into effect early in 2008 alongside some of Sony's more heavyweight software releases.

Another day and another one of Michael Pachter's far-reaching predictions for the gaming industry, this time concerning yet another PlayStation 3 price cut, reports Next-Gen.

The Morgan Wedbush Securities analyst, who GamerSquad swears just wants cult status amongst gamers (we're hours away from printing our first batch of "Pachter Rules!" T-shirts), has stated that he expects the price of Sony's high-definition behemoth to drop at the beginning of next year in order to take advantage of some very notable releases.

For once I actually agree with him, with the PS3's biggest titles coming out in 2008 what better way than to increase sales?

funny thing is – the predictions for price drops are kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy... because they announce it, it has more chance of happening. People will wait for it, and SOny will be cornered into dropping the price again.

If this is true, then I am glad. I want a PS3 for early 2008 because there will be good titles for it.

    For *Bleeps* sake!

Whats up with all the price drops, its unfair for people who bought a PS3 for £425!

I think it was obvious there would have eventually been a price drop. Not our fault people went out to buy it right away.

The price cut will help out I'm sure. Along with the new titles coming out the PS3 should sale much more.

The article summary is misleading if everyone agrees with Pachter than how is he wrong. We knew this was going to happen. Im expecting a price-drop in November the holiday season starter.. Much bigger sales, even if its for a limited time for the holiday you can expect bigger sales.

Yeah but th epeople who paid the original price got to play it before them, and longer than those who didn't. That's the price you pay I suppose.

I can see them doing this, why not. The better titles are coming out and they can move the consoles with the games. I for one belive him, though he is wrong most times
