Air combat simulation games are rather unpopular nowadays and we don't see many titles around, set aside the fictional Ace Combat titles. Now, Konami comes with a new WW 2 era air combat simulation game, titled Birds of Steel.

Gaijin Entertainment, a rather experienced and successful studio regarding air combat games that released titles such as the Birds of Prey, is developing the game.

      What? Oh come on don't lie, controversy aside it would make for one freaking awesome mission.

    i would think a WW2 era air combat game would be quite a bit more boring and difficult when you are using planes that dont have missiles, only machine guns for dogfighting. will there be some special twist in this game to make up for that?

    There will be Pearl Harbor according to the news, near to some fictional levels. The era of hard-to-play simulations are gone, I am expecting something close to Ace Combat with a WW 2 souce.

    im sort of off the konami boat after the new castlevania disappointed me so heavily. but i did love red skies so maybe this will be a game for me.
