New DS Color Confirmed!

A couple weeks ago there was a leak about a new color for the DS Lite. It's a crimson-onyx Lite that is bundled with Brain Age 2. Here's another piece of good news: It's being released on August 21st in Canada AND the United States (originally only thought to be released in Canada). For only $149.99, you can buy the newest Lite and the newest Brain Game with a carrying case.

Last month we reported on what appeared to be a retail-leak in which Canadian retailer Future Shop was showing off a red and black DS lite bundled with Brain Age 2. Today we can confirm that the new color scheme is indeed a reality, as Nintendo has officially announced the package.

Hitting stores in both the US and Canada on August 21, the bundle will cost $149.99 and include the new glossy crimson and matte black DS lite, and a copy of Brain Age 2. The new DS edition will be the first new color in almost a year. Nintendo fashionista should be stoked.

    I really like the look of this DS, but I like my Pink one better. It's pretty nice looking though. Good idea on Nintendo's Part. I hope we get some more colors soon too. ^___^

    I want a new colored DS in the worst way, so I'm going to sell my white DS at GameStop or something, and a few games to go with it that I no longer play. I'm not sure which one I would want more, though. I love the black DS, and this one looks awesome too, but I love the all-black DS. So... meh. It's a tough decision.

    I got the all black DS when Pokémon Diamond came out. Fingerprints and everything show up so easily ><

    I love the color of this one though, and wish it was out at the time when I got mine.

    Damn. I wish this would come out sooner XD I plan on getting a DS soon and I would like to have this one over the black or white DS Lite. -__-

    As I have been saying. I've been looking to finally getting a DS Lite after having the older DS for a while. So I'll be picking up this new color. I might keep my old DS for kicks though.

    I still like the white best, it matches Wii nicely. Now, if only we had some software to pair the two up. (Excluding that pitiful attempt at a Wii pokemon game)

    Sweet colours. I think red, white or black will suffice. However, I don't plan on getting a DS anytime soon.

    Looks good, but TBH my old DS still works fine, so I don't really see any reason to get the new model.

    That, and it has no UK/European release date.

    It looks pretty cool. If it comes out in the UK I wouldn't shell out £100 or whatever just for that though. I'm pretty content with my black DS lite thanks .

    Awsome this is cool i have to get another DS so cool i might get this.But this also sucks how you buy something and later on they come out with better and more colors.

    well the colors look kind of weird at where they are placed but they are still neat, but i will wait for me warranty to run out before i get another ds, and if blue isnt out me going with pink, less smudgeing and stuff.
