Will you come to my Partii?

Sakura | August 08, 2007 | News | Wii
Nintendo is working with Evite to make the Wii even more Party-Friendly to users than it already is. Big parties posted on youtube have been noticed, and they want to help make these bigger and more fun. Using Evite, Nintendo hopes to help Parties become bigger and better through invitations, food suggestions, decoration ideas, and even by giving you ideas for attire. Nintendo's dream of making the Wii for everybody has certainly come true, and making it better for Parties is just the next step.
With the popularity and party nature of the Nintendo Wii, players took it upon themselves to create themes around introducing potential competition to their new favorite console. A quick search on YouTube or Flickr reveals that "Wii Parties" are not only family-friendly events, but even jocks, skate punks and older gamers are getting into it.

Kaplan: We have certainly seen some well-planned (and fun!) parties show up on the Web through blogs and photo sharing sites. One example would be the 'Wiimbleton' tournament at a Brooklyn, NY establishment, which drew more than 100 participants. It will be exciting to watch the trend grow as more companies, such as Evite, recognize Wii as a fun way to bring families and friends together.

Wii is a pain if you're new to it. When people start losing they start swinging the wii motes around like weapons Seriously and then they get mad after they lose. My cousins always do that.

Yeah, but it gives them an adrenaline rush and they end up breaking your tv or smashing your remote against your head. .

Are you being sarcastic, as many games I have currently seen on the console do not seem all that hard and with the likes of Mario Party 8 out now it just seems to be following that path..

most games u barely have to move the remote to do better than getting crazy, parties are great in all but to many people can get boring as not everyone can play at the same time. and meh getting all excited over a party that is circled around a consloe game can be fun with like 5 people, having around 30 or so can be fun as well because u can have stuff like tournys and such but most of the time people will just be watching and not playing.
