Track and Field was released over the Xbox Live Arcade today. The game supports 1-4 players both online and off, and costs 400 Points.

Originally released in 1983 as an arcade game, Track and Field is an Olympic themed videogame by Konami in which the player controls an athlete through six different events, mainly through button-mashing and timed presses. The six events are in order:

* 100 Meter Dash
* Long Jump
* Javelin Throw
* 110m Hurdles
* Hammer Throw
* High Jump

Each event has qualifications that need to be passed in order to proceed to the next event. Consistent failure to do so results in a game over and having to start from the first event all over again.

    This has been a much highly anticipating Xbox Live Arcade game that has finally came out. I haven't yet had the chance to play it but aim to do so soon, gotta love button mashing!

      I just hate the fact that when I lose I have to start from the 100 Meter Dash and do that button-mashing all over again

      If only I didn't crash into those two hurdles...

    lol, I remember games like this in the past and they were great fun. The button-mashing was one of the best features of it xD. Great addition to the console I must say.
