New Super Mario Galaxy scans!

The latest issue of Famitsu includes three pages of Super Mario Galaxy goodness, flattened pieces of pulped trees that show off never before seen levels.

Quite a few new details have been revealed from the new screenshots, including a levels set in the desert, on a pirate ship, and what looks to be something of a giant mechanism similar to Super Mario 64’s Tick Tock Clock stage.

    Oh, and in one of the pics, there's a thing that strongly resembles a goomba.

    Yeah, that's definitely a goomba in there.

    In the second picture, it looks like Mario is going to have to do some insane tricks this time around. @___@ Looks amazing!

    I very rarely play my Wii but after seeing those screens I do think I could give up on my 360 gaming for a little while whilst I go and spend some quality time with my Wii on Super Mario Galaxy when it comes out. Super Mario 64 was such a great classic, love it.

    I love the new look in Galaxy. The entire level structure and layout is nothing like we've ever seen before (donut-shaped planets ). It's the kind of fresh, innovative game that takes advantage of the hardware in nearly all ways, something that no Wii game has done. Looks like a lot of fun.

    I pre-ordered it already.

    This game will own. I'm so excited for it. The games really start kicking off in 2007 what with this, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, etc...

    Game looks great. I saw Mario turn into Boo in it. I am also guessing that they have a Halloween world in it.

    I know this game will be incredible, but I'm not to excited by it yet. No idea why, but nothing's pushing this for me yet. I'm sure I'll switch sides come November.
