Xbox 360 Premium sales on Amazon have risen 400% in the past 24 hours, with some 360 titles and the Play & Charge Kit jumping in sales too. Amazon is currently selling the console for $329.99, $20 less than the usual price.

Looks like the price drop is working, as sales for the Xbox 360 (Premium) have increased by 400% in the past 24 hours. Previously ranked as number 10 on the game charts, the console has risen up to 2nd place. This might also be due to Amazon subtracting an additional $20 off the price, making it only $329.99. In related news, the Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit coupled with a Black Controller has risen in sales by $1,995%, taking the 64th spot when it used to be ranked 1,341. Halo 3 sales have also gone up by 400%, taking the number 1 spot from its previous 5th. Apparently the Strangehold Demo was a hit with consumers too, as that has increased 159% in sales.

There goes the edge that sony had for a while with the PS3 price drop... Ouch.

Not that it is going to happen any time soon, but I wouldn't even want to see the chaos it would cause if the Wii dropped in price

It definitely won't happen with how we'll they're selling already.

Yeah, the Wii would dominate both imo.

It wouldn't matter if Wii dropped price now or not. They are still sold out.

Wow that's amazing, $20 can make such a huge impact! I will try and back up PS3 fanboys here though and admit that this is only on Amazon, nothing has been said about sales elsewhere.

But still, as specialk7225 said, the edge Sony had has just disappeared in 24 hours.

Good for Microsoft. At least something is going right for them.

After this, their sales aren't going to get much higher. Everybody that wants one pretty much has it now.

Same with the Wii. The PS3 is the only system left that needs sales.

Yea but you know, XBox fans will say no one wants the PS3.

Well 400% is high just as high as the wii that one time. But nothing like 5,369% from the PS3 80GB model did

That just tells you how shitty the console was selling before.

It just shows you how many people would buy the console if there was a bigger Price cut, Scared huh.

You're right, everyone who wants a wii already has one. That's why you still can't find them in any stores while PS3's line the shelves even after the price drop.

Actually, I can't find any PS3's where I live. My friend bought the last one. They were gone even before the price drop.

Prior to the price drop, Sony had shipped 5 million consoles and sold only 3.5 for the longest time. The whole purpose behind the $100 price drop is the fact that people weren't buying them. Supply and demand.

I'm saying in the local stores where I lived.

The PS3's weren't selling for a while, and right before the price drop the walmart next to me, their PS3's were gone besides one.

The Malls were sold out too, but this is just where I live.

Same here Sten. I have noticed b4 the price cut was confirmed that they were sold out.

If they were selling like that everywhere, there would be no need for a $100 price drop.

I am a little shocked that $20 has done this as I know if I wanted the console ages ago I would have got it before $20 come of... not a massive price cut for me xD
