It's the same old story: while North America's gaming consumers enjoy the benefits of hardware price cuts, special offers, and software bundles, the poor (always loyal) saps over in the UK and Europe continue to go without - or are an afterthought, at best. Well, it would appear UK retailers are getting a little fed up with the way Sony et al are treating the Brits.
UK retailers and publishers alike are beginning to fret over the slow uptake of the PS3, with many speaking out about Sonys stingy approach to UK pricing. A recently announced games bundle just doesnt cut the mustard, according to Duncan Cross, head of the games section for supermarket chain Asda. "I think for us and for Asda's customers there's no doubt that we'd like to have seen some price movement on PS3," Cross told MCV.
