Agreed. They shouldn't of focused so much on the controller. Things could of went better.

And as long as the console doesn't go over $300 then I'll pick it up. It should not be more than the Wii at launch! The Wii was $315 here in Canada.

The Wii was originally $250 (in US). A lot more went into the Wii U (from what we see) than in the Wii. It will probably be more than $300 at launch.

because of the way its being marketed, i think Nintendo would be shooting themselves in the foot if it retailed much over $300 USD at launch. it may be on par or better than the PS3 power-wise but its not going to be noticed by the general public, they will be fixated only with the controller as thats the main selling point. if they put it too high, most potential buyers might just opt for a PS3 or a 360 and Kinect as they will be the same or cheaper at Wii U's launch and will have hella more games by then.

It will cost $350+. Nintendo is not a company to sell something without a large profit. By the sound of the hardware it will cost about $300 (if not much more because of the controller) to make, so yeah.

if thats the case they are going to be severely disappointed just like with the 3DS's meager sales.
