Delayed, delayed, delayed... it seems to be the videogame industry's new watch word of choice, no?

Therefore it comes as scant little suprise to learn that Eidos and Funcom have decided to push back Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures to the back end of Q1, 2008.

After beta testing the ambitious Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures since last summer, Eidos and Funcom have decided to push the release date for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC MMORPG back from October 30 until March 25, 2008.

Both firms are adamant that they do not want to unleash the game unto the public unless it is in tiptop condition and feedback from the beta period so far seems to have confirmed that, well, it isn't.

"...In the current MMO marketplace we know that only the best is good enough to truly succeed," explained Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. "With the new release date we have therefore given ourselves more time to meet and deliver on the massive expectations for the game."

What's with these Erie creepy odd games?

Bioshock, prototype, oblivion, this game etc.

I don't like horror/scary type games. They don't scare me, I just don't like the dark areas. I like colors and realistic areas.

Oblivion wasn't creepy or odd and the dark caves were very atmopsheric and realistic. I was actually thinking of trying age of conan out since a few friends wanted to try it shame about the delay but I'd rather have that, than them release an unfinished product.

MMORPG just NEED to be spot on, least amount of bugs as possible and everything going the way it should, it's crutial in my opinion that these games should not be rushed, therefore this news doesn't frustrate me, instead it encourages me knowing a MMORPG for the Xbox 360 will be great in the future.
