Halo 3 gets Flamethrowers

Halo 3 has something new to offer, Halo 3 will now include Flame throwers!

It was going to be added in Halo 2, but they didn't want to put it in, but now they've decided to drop in Halo 3...

The flamethrower does things that just weren't possible in Halo 2. This is, more or less, a living flame. "If you shoot a pillar, the liquid in the flamethrower will adhere to it and burn there," O'Connor explained. "Likewise with the floor and with bad guys. It will cause continual damage to a vehicle. When the flames start to cool down and evaporate, it stops causing damage. If you're lucky enough to keep it on a Warthog, then you will in fact take it down with a flamethrower." For those who have grown fond of the bubble shield, O'Connor confirmed that the gadget will provide safe haven from fire. "It will wash over the shield. It will actually burn on the surface of the shield."

The flamethrower is apparently a turret which can be ripped off its foundations and carried around just like the others.

There's also a firebomb grenade

I don't like the idea of a flame in Halo. There's enough flamers as is.

At first I was thinking that fire and flamethrowers just wouldn't work, a bad idea, however reading that quote sure has changed my mind. They are using the prospect of fire to add different elements of gameplay, which is great!

This will probably be a noob weapon online, anybody who uses it will most likely be owned by snipers etc.

Flamethrowers for me in games have always been the worst weapons possible but then put in mind, my favourite weapons in the pistol type default gun xD
