After creating the game six years ago, the makers of the classic Psychonauts finally own the rights to the game. Double Fine has taken over the rights to the platformer.

The actual rights to a video game usually fall into some goofy state of limbo and usually remain there for a rather lengthy period of time before something concrete is ironed out. More often than not, the publisher owns the rights to the game and simply pays a royalty to the people who put the hard work in. Well, the people behind the cult classic Psychonauts finally own the rights to the game they created over six years ago.
