Although the prospect of playing BioShock is successfully pushing the disappointment of the summer months into the nether regions of our gaming minds, it's worth noting that a certain armour-clad Samus Aran will also be gracing our lives a matter of days after the arrival of Irrational Games' underwater epic.

How could be possibly forget about Metroid Prime 3: Corruption? Well, we haven't. And to prove it, here's the latest trailer and chunk of sexy gameplay. We like. We like a lot.

While Corruption got a brief (but impressive) run-out at the recent E3 Media & Business Summit in Santa Monica, the final action-packed episode in the ongoing adventures of Samus Aran has received fairly modest hype coverage in the countdown to its release.

And that’s kind of unusual considering the series’ stellar reputation and the placement of the newly innovative Corruption on the hot-selling Nintendo Wii platform… especially as the game will hit retail on August 27.
