very impressive. And actually, that picture of the guy with the sledgehammer also had some relative difficulty in smashing it too. Especially when compared with his smashing of the xbox

Wow after all that its still kicking, im impressed Sony you made a flawless design with your system. I never thought it would have lasted all those with flying colors, but coming from Sony i shouldn't be surprised, they must of learned from there past mistakes last gen. I guess its true The PS3 will never die, unless you hit it with a sledge hammer.

What they should do is take the Wii xbox challenge.

You're not a Sony fanboy at all, are you?

Yeah, one lesson they never learned from is using technology created for Nintendo to make the PSO.

And the PS3 withstands heat and cold....Sounds like the Wii.

      Except the Wii has games.

Hmm...I'm impressed with the design of the PS3. It can resist even in cold or hot weathers. It also won't be spoilt easily (unless you hit it with a hammer, lol).

Yes, extreme durability is nice, but it doesn't really serve that much purpose. Who is going to freeze their console or play it for 4 days straight? It's just for show. I want to know how high you can drop it from without it breaking.

Though it does prove a point the 360 dies at room temperature, the PS3 can't die unless you smash it lol

Hmm, impressive but kinda lame really though. Can't see many consumer opting for the PS3 because it's more durable.

"Sure, there's nothing worth playing, but look... I can hit it with a hammer!"

    Well worth the asking price.

I think the purpose of this is to test the design and how it fares with stuff. However i find the title misleading.

Yup totally agree, it's nice it's durable and all but a brick is durable and you wouldn't buy one to play games on:P.

Yeah, I read this a while ago...

I bet the Wii would do similarly well (Nintendo makes durable systems)

    But the 360 would fail on the first test, probably, the 3rd most definitely >_> The Second might actually help it lol ;;

well my guess is that they wanted to reach the serious gamers who play a lot and those that are sometimes clumsy and might drop it from where it is sitting or something.

Good, at least they fixed one disadvantage of the PS2. The PS2 wasn't very durable.

How so, i thought it was very durable not like the PS3. I had my PS2 for 7 years with any problems.

I was a bit worried that the PS3 would have the PS2's durablity issues. Glad to see that didn't happen.

If they were going to destroy a PS3 they should have just given it to me.
