You're probably wondering what the heck we get to play as a Pokemon Trainer! Sound stupid? Well read before you make your full decision. First we get two updates today of the character and as well a few special moves. But before we get through let me tell you that you won't play as the actual trainer but three Pokemon...Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard. The classic starter Pokemon from years ago. But how do we play with all three? Easy we start off with one Pokemon like Squirtle and as if they are evolving to their second stage you can then switch to be an Ivysaur and then a Charizard. View one of the screenshots below to understand.
No way! The Pokémon Trainer has finally arrived. And it looks like he doesnt do his fighting directly.
Instead, he uses the three Pokémon with himSquirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizardto do the fighting for him.
The Pokémon Trainer watches from the background.
He needs to use his three Pokémon to fight. So the only ones who fight directly are the Pokémon.
I guess you could say using this character is like playing three for the price of one!
And the Pokémon Trainer uses a special move called Pokémon Change to switch between them.
They all share the same damage meter, so they dont recover from damage during Pokémon Change. But they also have another stat, which you might call stamina.
If you keep fighting with the same Pokémon, or if you change them out too often, its not so good for the Pokémon.
If you want to be a good Pokémon Trainer, youll need to learn these kinds of ins and outs.

Bit strange this but it may well turn out to be a nice addition to the game, I wonder if the Pokemon Trainer will be visable in the background and able to be attacked?
And Squirtle doesn't evolve in Brawl. The Pokémon get switched out by the trainer. XP
Well, i'll try anything once.
Not a bad idea, but a bit complex...well, so long as the switching doesn't entail a complex sequence of button presses, it should be alright...
Although perhaps there will be three trainers, so all of the nine starter Pokemon forms are playable.
Although it does seem unlikely.
so i herd u liek mudkips?Yeah, a Mudkip would've been cool. Too bad it's the FR/LG trainer, so no Mudkips.
Much better then ZSS.
Hopefully there will be a girl trainer who uses the 4th gen pokes, only the other way round, ie. Chimchar, Grotle and Empoleon.
