PS3 Price Drop Coming Soon

There are whispers going about in the United Kingdom that Sony will be announcing a price drop for their console at Gamescom this year. Gamescom will be held on August 17th until the 21st.

Sony is planning another Gamescom barnstormer – with a PlayStation 3 price cut on the cards.

An announcement is expected at the August event in Cologne. Trade insiders are hoping for an RRP of £199.99, with retail prepared to go to £179.99.

    Well Sony really can't help who does and doesn't decide to buy a PS3 before a price drop.

    £179.99 not bad.. My PS3 broke 2-3 months ago and I wasn't going to pay £140 to get it repaired. If come August the system is £179.99 I'll buy that.
