The whole FF series s probably crap. But there is no doubt that the Wii should be in there and XBOX Live. And what the *bleep* is an Atari 2600? I hope it doesn't play and FF games.

I hope you're not serious. The Atari 2600 was the first home gaming console ever created.

You need look no further than Sony's own palindromic Sixaxis controller -- which also responds to motion -- and Microsoft's pledge to appeal to children and casual gamers to realize that Nintendo is in the industry's driver seat.
If that fits in as a signature...

Normally I don't like a quote-sigs, but this would be an exception and a half.

Edit: I changed my mind that is to fan-boyish even for me.

The PS2 not being on there doesn't make any sense, best selling console of all time what?

They ahd a lot of the big moment sin there but definitely some missing, I also think the ps2 deserves to be included and I only skimmed through but didn't see anything about the birth of the ff series with the original Final Fantasy which I'd consider quite a big moment.

No, actually the Magnavox Odyssey was the first game console, but I think Atari 2600 brought gaming into the mainstream.

And Evanster, the Wii and Xbox Live are in there, you just didn't read far enough into the article...

The wii I guess should be in there. the 360 should only be in there for being the console most likely to fail.

The PS3 should be in there for being the most reliable system. PS2 for sure as well.

Atari 2600 = win. If mine hadn't broke a few years ago, I'd still play it

Good to see Alone in the Dark recognised as the first survival horror game.

FFVII brought RPGs to the mainstream audience. It deserves to be on the list
In fact, more games should probably be on the list too. Why not make it top 50? XD
