It has just been announced that WOW is going free to play, at least until level 20, that is. Gamers can now take advantage of an extended trial before paying monthly subscriptions.

WoW! (Sorry, had to be done). It's just been announced that widely popular MMO World of Warcraft is getting the free-to-play treatment, with developers Blizzard offering a special extended trial to users where you can use any number of characters up until a certain point which will then force you to pay if you want to continue on with that character.
