Oh, there's nothing like a bit of corporate bitch-slapping to start the day off right, eh? It would appear that RedOctane (of Guitar Hero publishing fame) is becoming a little disgruntled whenever folks assume that upcoming Rock Band is an EA title... just because EA is right there on the packaging. Why on Earth would they do that!?

Charles who? Why, that would be Charles Huang, co-founder and COO of Guitar Hero publisher RedOctane, who has revealed how he is "irked" whenever people associate rival music title Rock Band with mega-publisher EA. Speaking in an interview with GameSpot, Huang said that calling the multi-instrumental Rock Band an EA title was "misleading", and pointed out that while EA was distributing the title, the company had nothing to do with the development or publishing of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title.

While we're at it, RedOctane, how about you stop calling Guitar Hero "original"?

Well its easy to do when Harmonix is a company that tries to stay out of a public spotlight, i mean they have made so many award winning music games yet up until Guitar Hero no one knew who they were, so when people see EA they assume it is an EA made title.

Well I'm sure it's frustrating for him but he is going to need to cope, EA has a reputation and even if EA is just a publisher and has no control over developing the game it will slightly hinder the respect the game might have. I wouldn't worry if I was him though, I think 99% of us know that Rock Band is going to kickass!

Jack Black from the school of rock... Funny movie.

I don't really care for guitar hero, I rather spend my time playing a REAL guitar instead and actually getting good.
