Some information about the various classes you'll find in Battlefield 3, such as Recon, Engineer, Support, and Assault. Be sure to check out the interesting distinctions that each will have.

Battlefield 3 will not play the same as Bad Company 2 - we can see this already as the official class descriptions have been released on Battlefield’s official blog. The four classes will bring something new to the table never before seen in the franchise, but who expected anything less from DICE and EA?

I hope people don't think this is a step toward BF3 becoming a CoD clone. It isn't

I'm sure there will be some people who make that silly comparison, but it should prove itself to be quite distinct, I'm sure.

I don't get these kinds of comments. Am I the only one who WANTS BF3 to be able to cover all the angles? BF3 is clearly better looking and as a whole: a better designed game than COD. It has so much more going for it than COD. So, why am I still tempted to buy MW3 when it comes out? Because it satisfies my occassional urge to feel like the best player on the map. Hell yeah I want my skills to shine through. I want my team to know we won this because I was kicking ass. It's a primal urge of a hardcore gamer. Until BF3 can do that, it will never de-throne COD. At least not it's multiplayer.

I hope it is more like Battlefield 2. Nothing beat the infantry vs infantry fights on maps like Strike at Karkand.

interesting how the assault class is getting the healing stuff now. i guess my friends and i will be playing assault primarily as we are always medics 99% of the time. kinda sad that we wont be getting our heavy machine guns anymore though.
