Roll up for new Beautiful Katamari screens and info

mistermostyn | August 15, 2007 | News | XBOX 360
It may not be everyone's gaming cup of tea, but there's no denying the cult following built up by the Katamari series and its roll-about-and-collect-stuff ethos. The new Xbox 360-exclusive Beautiful Katamari is coming along nicely... and GamerSquad has the screenshots to prove it.
It’s to be hoped that Namco Bandai’s Beautiful Katamari isn’t swamped in the usual Holiday deluge of must-have software, but our fears for the series’ next-gen debut are very real. Still, those of us who manage to overlook the charms of Halo 3 and company to spend some time with the Prince could be in for a real treat, if the latest screens and information on the game are anything to go by.

Apparently, the Xbox 360 exclusive will sport a four-player online mode that lets players face off in a "Thingy Battle", where the objective is to roll up the most of one particular item (chosen by the King of all Cosmos, naturally).

Xbox exclusive? Wasn't this just canned for PS3 and announced being made for both Wii and 360, now they canned it for Wii? Do these people really think a game like Katamari is going to sell well on a console like 360 alone?

I really can't see a majority of 360 fans being interested in this game.

I think you'll be suprised as to how well this game sells, as long as it delivers. We loved Lego Star Wars which is suprising, so it's not beyoind the realms of possibility for this to sell well.

I too had to re read the bit where it says the game is a 360 exclusive, didn't know that!
