The Entertainment Software Rating Board has released a rating summary for Dead Island, detailing the game’s drug references, intense violence, sexual themes and more.

    Definitely can not wait for this game, intense violence just makes it all the sweeter. The other themes being apart means the mood should be a bit lighter which is good to know.

      With the awkward classification system it could be passed through under the M15+ rating. Having said that I must concur; more often than not it's a case of being banned instead, which is a real shame. Just have to hope they finally sort out the system soon like they were talking about.

        Well, it would come under the MA rating here not the M rating (our highest currently). Unfortunately this game shares a fair amount of issues that they had with Left 4 Dead 2... plus the use of alcohol and drugs which L4D2 didn't have (plus a story lol) which could potential make it a bigger threat for rc.

        Yeah, I'm just waiting to read that article saying its been refused classification, it should be here any day now

      Well there is never a guarantee that a game won't be released here so hopefully this will pass.

      The ratings board sure as hell aren't consistent in their ratings, that's for sure.
