Cris Velasco Composing Jericho Soundtrack

Vito Raliffe | August 17, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
Cris Velasco, who has helped compose music for games like God of War and God of War II, has been revealed as the composer for Clive Barker's Jericho. The game is set to be released in late October for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Check the source for brand new screens.
Oh I’m sorry, I mean Clive Barker’s Jericho (it was too long for the title).

Most of you are wondering who Cris Velasco is. Well, he also worked on the God of War and God of War II soundtracks, which if you remember, were pretty awesome. Hand-picked by Clive Barker himself, Cris is said to have composed “a haunting choral and cinematic orchestral score that enhances the game’s epic, paranormal horror experience”, one Clive Barker said is “filled with yearning, dark energy, threat and redemption, it is the unstoppable engine in the terrifying ghost train of Jericho.”

Cris has also had plenty of recognition for his musical talents in the world of videogames, such as earning “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition” from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, or receiving both Gamespot and IGN’s Best Original Music/Score Awards.

Described as a squad-based horror FPS, Clive Barker’s Jericho is set to be released in late October of this year for both the PS3 and 360. Check out these new screens in the mean time:

Jericho isn't looking too bad. Plus a composer like this will only help to heighten the experience. Still unsure of a purchase though.
