Well everyone it has happened again. A person acting alone has done a major crime only to have the blame passed on to media entertainment. After a terror attack in Norway games like dragon age, bioshock and Modern Warfare 2 are taking heat for the event. This is not new when school shootings or other major crimes happen people look for someone to blame besides the person.

Anders Behring Breivik has said he uses Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to train combat skills for an upcoming war with Islam, according to a 1,500 page manifesto that he wrote prior to the attacks. He has also used his addiction with World of Warcraft as a cover story for plotting the attacks. He states that Modern Warfare 2 is a great training simulator for actual operations. This is exactly what the gaming community didn't need, for this disgusting psychopath to claim he uses games to train. Prepare for the shit storm.

    • Plays video-games
    • Doesn't want to seem childish
    • "Errr... it's training. Yeah, training."

I can understand him trying to keep himself from being discredited as games are still viewed by many as childish, but this is going to be taken ridiculously out of context.

Now he's gone too far >=(

lol, Anders in Dragon Age 2 also committed an act of terrorism by blowing up the Chantry. kind of ironic.

what mission or multiplayer game allowed you to simulate something like this... Doesnt make sense to me.

does he mean the infamous part where you kill a bunch of civilians, in MW2 i think?

maybe, but that is not a very good simulation. I played that mission and I dont think I am any more "prepared" to go on a shooting spree than I was before playing it. Navy Seal Team Six had simulation of Osama's hide out, these games are not very good at all for simulations...

well shoot there is a level where you are the terrorist and kill bunch of people that did nothing. many of the spec op type games do real life simulations. I do not think he is talking about multiplayer that much but the solo and spec ops stuff. the truth is you could say same about movies and tv shows too. you can learn from them how to get away with crimes better ect.
