BioWare is hoping that their epic game Star Wars: The Old Republic will be around for a long time. They have plans to add dozens of worlds to the years after the launch. GamerGaia has the news.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is working with one of the largest and most detailed universes in all of science fiction and the developers want to take full advantage of that. The game, which is being released later this year, is going to have 19 worlds available on release with plans to add dozens more over the coming decade. Check out the news below.

    So that's about 14 years? I've yet to see an MMO last that long.

    World of Warcraft will probably pull it off though.

      Everquest is nearly 13, can't see it stopping at this point. It's not out of the question.

    If there's one franchise that defines staying power, it's Star Wars. The challenge isn't just releasing new content, but releasing new mechanics to keep the game interesting.
