It’s now officially the end of the Martian road for the Red Faction Franchise. THQ has given up on the series after terrible sales figures for Red Faction: Armageddon.

    It is indeed sad to see the death of such a stellar franchise , but having said that, I hope THQ now have room to concentrate on new IP's

    This is very dissapointing I loved their destruction engine on that game. Here's hoping they take the good things from Red Faction and put it in to a new IP

    They really shouldn't have deviated from the open world formula. Had they developed a new sandbox game, I think Red Faction may have survived longer.

    This is sad news, I thought Armageddon was a decent game and so was Guerilla, first one was awesome too.

    I hope they continue using the destructive environments on differen't games. R.I.P Red Faction!

    meh, series went to shit when they went from FPS to TPS anyway.

    Fine by me, Guerilla was alright but even two wasn't that good. The first was by far the best though, and I'm sure five years from now, if that, there will be a reboot. Hopefully they go back to the first person shooter, destructible environment, and straight oppression that made the game what it was.
