Developer Says Free To Play Is Coming To Xbox 360

Free to play games are games you play for free but the makers make profit off in game micro transaction purchases. Games like combat arms have been out on the PC for over 5 years selling content like guns and small digital content like that. Free to play games have also been used to sell the online service it self as in the case of Now free to play World of Warcaft which is free up to level 20.

Hi-Rez Studios is currently working on a free to play game for PC and xbox 360 called Tribes: Ascend. According to the big boss man at hi rez Microsoft understands the trends going on towards free to play games and wants to get on it before there competitors.

    1st money then world domination lol. for real thought companies like EA and Valve claim that free to play games can make more then paid games. due to the in game digital content. so adding those free to play games does not mean there non profit games they plan on making money on them.
