HALO: The Movie is already filming (Release Summer 08)

Linkin Park Fan | August 19, 2007 | News | PC Xbox Misc
A few years back 20 Century FOX and Peter Jackson said that they will be making a Halo movie. After a while of seeing nothing they announced the movie was post poned due to the lack of interest.

Jump to E3 2007, they showed quick clips of Props for the movie. The movie is in production and is probably filmed in New Zealand, the home of Peter Jackson. It is set to be released in summer 08.
Peter Jackson and 20 Century FOX told us all HALO was postponed sue to a lack of interest. No one believed that, but then the movie and all information about it disappeared from everyone's radar. HALO fans, as well as Peter Jackson fans felt let down and couldn't figure out how this project didn't make it.

Flash to E3 2007 where viewers and guests were treated to a trailer showing props that required a lot of work. We were then told it was just a promotional clip for Halo 3. No one asked why there was a LIVE ACTION clip to promote the game? Well XF did. Shortly after E3, images of full size Warthogs started popping up on the net. The public still didn't put 2 and 2 together. Now I know some of you did, but wanted proof to back up your theories.

Put your theories to rest. The movie is already in production. Those Warthogs are from the movie. D.B. Weiss (Lucky Wander Boy) handled the final script with Neill Blomkamp handling directing responsibilities. There really is a reason they came out of New Zealand. Think about it. Halo ... grassy rolling hills ... Peter Jackson? All we've learned so far is that the movie is set for release the Summer of 2008 and is planned to be heavily marketed. Again, this is confirmed. So sit back an relax Halo fans. Your movie is less than a year from being in theaters.

I'm quite certain this was debunked, they haven't started production yet.

This is an interesting idea, Halo has some potential given the nature of the plot. They could zoom out from Master Chief a little and try their luck from their.

Cool though, anyway if this works out they should do a Zelda Movie. There would be a lot to work with. The chaotic mind of a hero cursed to be reborn, yet how he suppresses it all and risks his own life for a greater good and will always act for others with his caring and courageous heart (Link). A young girl blessed with Wisdom and purity, but so shelter and protected from the world see nows the darkness of that it makes her feel helpless and useless (Zelda). The army if dark king who lays claim to the lands greatest power (Gannondorf).

So, the Halo movie is back in production ? Personally, I think it would have been better if it was CG and not live-action, so it would like like the cut-scenes.

Who exactly did they find to fund it ?

Hmm while it could be interesting, how would this be good movie.
I mean You know movies that turn into games most of the time isn't even on par to being good. Except RE. Wouldn't this be the same thing only reverse.

I thought it was going to be CG?

I think a real person walking around in a Spartans armor is going to look really stupid

The way Christian Bale looked really stupid in the batsuit in Batman Begins?

      There you go.

This movie will make a lot of money, no doubt. I wonder if they'll have this follow the first game, or combine the trilogy's story into one movie.

i think they should follow one of the books, possibly GoO, because it doesn't really interfere with the trilogy, at least not yet.
