Battlefield 3, DICE's the upcoming answer to the flooded FPS genre, is set to release 10/25 this year. However, not all the features seem to be positive; at least one that may cause a few gamers to cringe is the inclusion of an 'online pass' system.

That is messed up! If you buy the game, buy Xbox live, then you should not have to pay anymore to play a game!

Whether you pay for Xbox Live or not doesn't matter. This goes across all platforms, so it's not just Xbox users who have to pay. The game itself should come with a pass, but if you buy it used you'll have to pay more. It's more of an anti-used games thing.
