Todd Howard confirms The Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim

Todd Howard, during a presentation at QuakeCon, has confirmed that The Dark Brotherhood faction will be in Skyrim, continuing the tradition of faction interaction in Elder Scrolls.

At QuakeCon, moments ago, Todd Howard has confirmed that The Dark Brotherhood will be in Skyrim.

Bethesda has been claiming for awhile now that there is a whole host of information that they are still sitting on, but that will trickle out in the coming weeks. This is a big one for me since I found the Dark Brotherhood lines of quests some of the best to be found in Oblivion. Sure, joining a fighters guild is all well and good. You get to fight. But to be a terrifying assassin of the night is something I think we can all get behind. <insert joke about rouges doing it from behind here>.

    Would have been weird if they hadn't shown up. It was without a doubt the best guild in the last game.

    Yea to be fair we were all pretty sure it would have The Dark Brotherhood in, or at least a similar guild to it.

    Even if the Dark Brotherhood wasn't a guild in Skyrim, I most likely would have gone around assassinating random NPC's anyways. Great to know I can still get rewarded for it.

      This, but replace the words "assassinating random NPC's" with the words "running around like a madman throwing fireballs and demolishing people's skulls with a mace for everybody to see".
