Following on from his recent dream of a 'unified single console' (May of this year) Silicon Knights bigwig Denis Dyack has announced at the GCDC in Leipzig that a "One console future" could soon become a reality.

If Too Human has this level of imagination, we're in safe (if not somewhat unstable) hands.

Buying all those sleek (and not-so-sleek) boxes to fit under your telly isn’t just a burden on the wallets of consumers, reckons Silicon Knights' Denis Dyack - it’s also an unsustainable state of affairs for the gaming industry as a whole.

Speaking in a lecture at the GCDC in Leipzig, Dyack predicted that a ‘one console future’ may not be too far away, and could even occur in the next round of hardware.

    we already have the computer. It has been commoditized. Home consoles are more specially targeted. Both will not go away any time soon.

    Unlikely, each company has billions of dollars at there disposal. They can throw money into there consoles all days long
