What with all the recent talk of hackers making the Wii DVD friendly, it seems somewhat ironic that a two-bit hardware manufacturer has crept from the woodwork to push its "Wee" mini DVD player, which is even styled after Nintendo's little console.

We love coming across knock-off goods here at GamerSquad; the type of stuff you find in discount stores that's obviously a blatant replication of a popular brand, complete with the kind of quality you'd expect from something costing $4.99 USD.

We very much doubt any firm would have named its product "Wee" before the popularity of the Nintendo Wii, but since it's done so well, one shameless manufacturer has done just that.

I need to Wee. But great name lol. If I had one I would send it to Nintendo just to spite them.

Exactly! That'll learn 'em for choose such a name for their console!!! Either that or Nintendo will be able to better uncover the source of this craziness.

Uh...okay. This is a pretty stupid idea. Oh well, it's good for tricking people into thinking you bought them a Wii.

    Wee. Brilliant.

Yeah, I got one of these for my birthday and wondered why I couldn't play games on it. It took me a while to realize that the Wee and Wii are two different things.

      Did you try?

I'd think the absence of a Wiimote would confuse you...

Geh, not surprised to see this, but at a glance, it actually looks like a decent replica of it..

Well, I could buy one and tell all my friends that I have a Wee and then they come and look and on first site believe I have a Wii. Then they all get disappointed by the fact that it's just a Wee and not a Wii.
