A 14 year old boy boy allegedly thought that he could put his Xbox 360 in water to keep it from heating. Well that's stupid. The console was wrapped in plastic and tape when the boy decided to put it in some water, but it was still plugged in. The boy was obviously shocked and got some small burns on his hands and feet. Amazing how stupid people can be these days.
A 14 year old boy from Brevard, North Carolina was nearly killed Sunday while trying to stop his Xbox 360 from overheating.
The boys mother told local news that his Xbox 360 kept turning itself off after about 5 minutes. Her son had read online that he could stop it from cutting off by cooling the power supply. I saw him put the cord on top of a box in the living room, said the boys mother. When I left to go next door he was playing a game but when I got back he was laying on his back on the floor and unconscious.

Did the bag leak or something though? If it was sealed in a plastic bag, it shouldn't have electrocuted him?
Well, if it was a regular grocery bag, those always seem to have little holes in them, but if he used a garbage bag, he might have been alright...
Stupid, either way...
Edit: Despite the thumbs down I just got, I insist its their fault. Parents should teach their children about everything. They are supposed to pass on their experience.
Still they probabley deserve it
Apparently they never taught this kid how to read warning labels on electronic devices that talk about it and water and that electricity plus water equals danger.
Someone give me a map though, don't think Brevard's that far from here, but hell if I know how to get there.
Really, he's 14, he should know that Electricity+Water=Bad. Pokemon should have taught him that years ago. It's just common sense. Amplifying the current's power is not going to stop it from overheating.
At least he's still alive. I hope they don't try to sue Microsoft for this or something >_>...
