A game site writes a satirical piece that some people might take seriously, in which they suggest that EA bought the exclusive rights to the U.S. military.

In a bizarre announcement this morning, EA supposedly bought the exclusive rights to the U.S. military, meaning no other video game would be able to feature the U.S. military's likeness. The story, as reported by gamrFeed, seemed so ridiculous that is was both believable and unbelievable at the same time. I wouldn't put it past EA to make a move like this (since they did a similar thing with the NFL license), but as it turns out, the story was totally made up.

Would be a ridiculous if any game ever managed it. As has been said in the article, it's something you could believe EA would try to do, to get one up on it's competitors. Doubt many people would be fussed if they didn't have the official "US Army" branded uniforms etc in a game. All about the gameplay and graphics.

under the law you could not.. however the guns and alike yes.. and you will see as these shooter games get more competitive gun and alike makers will start protecting there IP (the guns) and charge makers to feature then and make money off them in games. like car makers and sports did.
