Apparently, the new Japan's Dengeki PlayStation magazine states that the Dual Shock 3 for the Playstation 3 will be released around the release date of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and the controller will come into play with the game. So, if this is true, we could get the controller in by October.

The rumble-equipped successor to the lightweight SIXAXIS is almost ready for release. According to the latest issue of Japan's Dengeki PlayStation magazine (quoted over at NeoGAF), the Dual Shock 3 will be compatible with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. And looking at the image above, taken from Sony's official Japanese GT5 site, it seems clear that the new controller will become available in Japan at the same time as GT5 Prologue itself: this October. Which is little over two months away.

I already have two SIXAXIS controllers so I don't really feel like buying another set, although rumble does significantly increase the awesome factor.

I'm hoping they have a trade in thing, where it is free, or for a nominal fee...

And I saw an article on this, but since I was on my PS3, I couldn't very well submit it -_- So I figured someone else would find it and post it for me lol

I like my controllers, but if I decide to get a 3rd, Dual Shock 3 controller, then I would probably use it and nignore my rumble-less ones.
