Blizzard To Rename StarCraft 2 DOTA Mod to Avoid Lawsuit From Valve

GamePodunk editor JasonClement reports that Valve, a developer, is releasing DOTA (Day of the Ancients) soon, but another developer wants to adopt the title: DOTA and it is none other then Blizzard. Read on for more details.

Valve's DOTA 2 isn't too far off from release now, and many excited fans are gearing up for its release. But do you know who else planned on using the name, "DOTA (Day of the Ancients)"? None other than Blizzard, who was making a new DOTA mod for StarCraft II.

    Starcraft DOTA is supposed to be called SOTIS.

      That was the fan made one. From this, it sounds like Bliz was trying to make a DotA Mod for SCII themselves.
